Croatia is situated at the crossroads of the Mediterranean and Central Europe, along the east coast
of the Adriatic Sea. It lays between the Alps slopes to the north-west and the Pannonian Plain to the
east.
Cernik is a municipality and parish in the Brod-Posavina County. It is situated in the foothills of
Psunj, 2km north of Nova Gradiška, along the regional road running to Požega. It is 150km east of
Zagreb, 80 km south-west of Osijek, and 50km west of Slavonski Brod. Cernik itself has about 2,000
inhabitants, whereas the whole municipality, consisting of seven villages, has a population of 4,000.
The municipality’s patron-saint is St Peter, celebrated on June 29. Cernik is known for its crafts, small
enterprises, fruit growing, viticulture, cattle raising, hunting and religious tourism. However, there
are no industrial facilities.
The company itself is seated in the very centre of Cernik, in 1 Požeška Street, on the county road
running from Nova Gradiška to Požega.
